DAINTREE DAY TOURS
We DO NOT recommend a day tour to the Daintree!!
You may be a little surprised to read this, after all we have just compiled
a whole page with Daintree day tours, but the message here is that there
is so much to see and do in the Daintree that you should take at least
a few days to see and experience it all !!
But if you have only just found out about the Daintree, or have simply
run out of time and have to fly home soon then there is a good choice
of Daintree day tours available.
After all, seeing it quickly in a day is still better than not seeing
the Daintree at all, and it will probably convince you to return in
the future to see more!
It is recommended you choose a Daintree day tour that will take you
all the way to Cape Tribulation, the jewel on the Daintree crown, it
is a beautiful place and the drive up there through the rainforest is
an attraction in itself. If your tour only goes to Mossman Gorge or
Daintree Village you have technically speaking been inside the Daintree
National Park but let me assure you that there is a lot more to see!
From Port Douglas:
A great day out to Cape Tribulation incorporating a scenic wildlife
cruise on the Daintree River spotting crocodiles, the famous Cape
Tribulation beach, some of the beautiful and ancient boardwalks
of the area and of course the award winning Jungle Surfing, which
is a flying fox zip line through the rainforest canopy. You haven't
seen the rainforest until you see it upside down!!! The price
for the day includes all park fees, tropical picnic lunch, Daintree
Ice Cream Company (tropical fruit orchard) and all activities.
An optional swim in the freshwater swim hole available.
